LEAH BARTLETT, MD FRCPC
Dr. Bartlett joined the Barrie Pediatric Associates in 2009. She completed her medical education at McMaster University and her pediatric residency at Queen’s University. She has a special interest in patients with Down syndrome and follows them for developmental and medical screening and treatment. She is the medical director of the Complex Care Program in conjunction with the Hospital for Sick Children at RVH.
CARA DAVIDSON, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Davidson has a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology before embarking on her medical degree and pediatric residency at McMaster University. Dr. Davidson completed an additional year of training in neonatology in Hamilton as well. She has special interests in developmental pediatrics, autism and behavioural GI symptoms. She is involved in the Complex Care Clinic, the Diabetes Education Clinic and the Autism Diagnostic Hub.
PIER DIANE GLAUDE, MD FRCPC
Dr. Glaude joined the Barrie Pediatric Associates in 2016. She completed her medical studies at the University of Ottawa and pediatric residency training at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Dr. Glaude is bilingual and will conduct appointments in French or English. She is involved in the Diabetes Education Clinic, Pediatric Asthma Clinic and the Complex Care Clinic. She also is the local lead for the Congenital CMV clinic and sees and follows children who have a positive newborn screen for CMV.
MIRIAM HANSEN, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Hansen joined the Barrie Pediatric associates in 2007. She did her medical degree at McMaster University and her pediatric residency at Queen’s University. She began private practice as a consultant pediatrician in Burlington, Ontario before moving to Barrie. Dr. Hansen is involved in the Paediatric Asthma Clinc at RVH. Presently she has a special interest in pain control and is involved with work on pain management policies for children at RVH.
RANIA HIRAM, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Hiram joined the Barrie Pediatric Associates in 2007. She was a graduate from the University of Ottawa and then did her pediatric residency at Queen’s University, Kingston. Apart from her consultative role with general pediatrics and neonatal care she is also part of the Diabetic Education Clinic and the Pediatric Asthma Clinic. Her present interest is in the development of the Pediatric Palliative Program in the region of Barrie. Currently she is the Chief of Paediatrics at RVH spearheading the development of the progressive program.
VINCENT HO, MD,FRCPC
Dr. Ho has been a staff pediatrician and neonatologist at the Royal Victoria Hospital since 2003. Dr. Ho completed his pediatrics at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver. and neonatology subspecialization training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He was the director of neonatology at Toronto East General Hospital before coming to us. He is currently the director of neonatology at RVH. He follows high risk and prematurity infants in the Neonatal Follow Up Program at RVH. He is presently involved with a multicenter family integrated care research project directed by Mt Sinai.
ASIF KAZMI, MD, FRCPC, FAAP
Dr. Asif Kazmi has been with the Barrie Pediatric Associates since its inception. Dr. Kazmi works in the Neonatal Intensive Unit, the Pediatric Inpatient Unit at RVH and does consultant pediatric work in the office. After graduating from Allama Iqbal Medial College, he did a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatric residency in Michigan, followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Kazmi is presently the pediatric educational lead for residents and medical students learning in Barrie. He enjoys spending time with learners and you may even have seen him doing this on television, as he does pediatric segments for local news.
IVANA OSSWALD, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Osswald joined the Barrie Pediatric Associates in 2009. She was a graduate from the University of Western Ontario and her pediatric residency at Queen’s University, Kingston. She has a special interest in and is the current Clinical Lead for the Pediatric Eating Disorder program at RVH.
VICTOR SAURO, MD FRCPC
Dr. Sauro joined the Barrie Pediatric Associates in 2012. He has a PhD in Biochemistry (UWO/London) and did his pediatric medical training at the University of Toronto, University of Western Ontario and Children’s Hospital in London. He completed a year as a fellow and 2 years as a consultant in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus at the University of Western Ontario’s Children’s Hospital. He has also worked as a hospitalist and clinical associate in the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology as well as a Regional Community Pediatrician in Owen Sound/Grey-Bruce Counties for 5 years. Presently he is the head of the Pediatric Diabetic Program at RVH.
Maria Tassone, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Tassone joined the Barrie Pediatric Associates in 2020, however has been practicing General Consulting Pediatrics in Barrie since 2018. She completed her medical education at McMaster University and her pediatric residency at the University of Toronto. She is involved in the Autism Diagnostic Hub clinic, the Barrie School Success Program and the Pediatric Asthma clinic
Melissa RosSoni, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Rossoni joined the Barrie Paediatric Associates in 2020. She completed both her medical degree and paediatric residency at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Rossoni completed a fellowship in Child Maltreatment Paediatrics at The Hospital for Sick Children, where she then worked as a staff paediatrician. She relocated to Barrie in 2018 at which time she started working as a Consulting Paediatrician. Dr. Rossoni is presently involved with the Autism Diagnostic Hub clinic at RVH, assessing preschoolers with concerns of possible autism spectrum disorder, the School Success Program through the Barrie and Community Family Health Team and the Pediatric Asthma Clinic.
